Biography

Kezia joined Renaissance as a pupil having previously worked for several years as an immigration and asylum caseworker at the Refugee Legal Centre and Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID).  She continues to act for BID on a voluntary basis as well as for the Asylum Support Appeals Project.  Kezia practices in all areas of immigration and asylum law and, since joining Chambers, has begun to develop a broader family law practice.  She is dedicated to publicly funded work.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Kezia worked at policy level in Brussels, at the European Parliament and for two European NGO lobby groups.

Experience

In immigration law, Kezia is regularly instructed to represent clients in matters relating to asylum and applications under the Human Rights Act, deportation, EEA applications, entry clearance and Points Based System appeals.  She also has experience in matters relating to Judicial Review. 

Kezia is happy to take instructions in a wide range of family law proceedings and acts for parents in private law matters including residence and contact disputes.  She has experience of representing parents and local authorities in public law matters and is keen to expand her practice in this area.
