Education and Qualifications:
St John’s College, Oxford, BA (Hons) Modern History
 
Authorships:
Colin is an editor of the Butterworths Immigration Law Service and has written numerous articles in various journals, including Tottel's Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Law, the Immigration Advisory Service Law Digest and the International Journal of Refugee Law.
 
Experience:
Colin worked for the Refugee Legal Centre (now Refugee and Migrant Justice) as a legal officer and was Director of Legal Services and Training at the Immigration Advisory Service before joining chambers. His areas of practice include all aspects of immigration and asylum law and family law child care proceedings. In both immigration and family law he has appeared at all levels up to and including the Court of Appeal and frequently advises and represents in judicial review cases. Colin regularly trains for ILPA and HJT Training and is a current member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association executive committee.

Colin is an experienced and popular trainer and regularly delivers CPD training in immigration law for ILPA and HJT Training. He is a former member of the ILPA Executive Committee and also edits the Free Movement website.
