London Legal Walk 2011
2011-05-16 05:00 PM Location: Royal Courts of Justice/Law SocietyTeam Renaissance rose to the challenge on 16th May 2011 when a group of members, pupils and staff took to the London streets for a 10km walk to raise money for charity. We set off from the Royal Courts of Justice taking in the Temple, the Embankment, St James' and Hyde Parks and returning via Pall Mall and the Strand to the Law Society where we all enjoyed suitable refreshments in the bar. The weather was relatively kind to us being neither too hot nor too cold for our exertions. Despite the odd spots of rain, and with such athletic legends as Fletcher and Calway setting the pace, we completed the circuit in less than 2.5 hours.
It was great fun, everyone looked great sporting their Team Renaissance t-shirts, and there was a great atmosphere, especially when we encountered groups from other Chambers or firms of Solicitors that we had some connection with. All those who took part were very glad to have done so and would certainly be in the market for a repeat performance in 2012.
